We require a 50% deposit on the estimated price you were given before starting work on your website. Our minimum fee is $150. That's the setup fee. In other words, we start building the first page along with your main header and content. This fee is for our services only and does not include Domain Privacy, Sitelock, Weebly or 3rd party hosting costs.

What does Web Hosting mean?
Web hosting is done by companies that connect your website to an online server. There they monitor any issues that may occur and correct them. This is how you get your site on the world wide web.

Do you offer the hosting or is it done through a third party?
Hosting is done by a 3rd party that we work with. Either way, you will sign up with them using one of our banners/links that you will be redirected to and sign up. Once you purchase the hosting package, then I will retrieve your username and password from you to go in and start building your website. I can help direct you to the correct banner/link before you ever take that step so to make sure we are headed in the right direction. 

What is a domain name?
A domain name is the name you created to name your website. That domain name belongs to you. You get one free year and the next year you will pay for that domain name yearly for around $20. This does not include the hosting fees.

Once you complete my new website and it is published, what do I do if I need something edited on it in the future? 
You have a choice. Once we have completed your site and you are happy with it, we will provide you with a link to instructions on how to edit your new website for future use. These are simple instructions and will help you to learn how to do some editing on your own for future reference.

​If it is something you just cannot do, don't have time for or you need more content added, you can feel free to contact us and we can edit it for you. We charge $25 an hour. Normally it is done very fast and the costs are minimum depending on what you are wanting. 

What is domain privacy?
Domain privacy is great for people that do not want their address and phone number made public. It's a great option to add-on if you need it. It costs approximately $10 per year. Prices may change since this was written.

What is Sitelock?
Sitelock helps protect your website from being hacked or hijacked. 

How long does it take to build my website?
Depending on how many pages and what you are needing, usually this can be completed within a couple of days as we do cater to small businesses and nonprofit organizations. It doesn't take months like most companies. 

Why does Weebly software cost extra from the web hosting costs?
Weebly offers their drag and drop builder to other hosting sites so if using an outside hosting site, you will pay at least $105 per year for anything over 6 pages (Weebly Pro). If under 6 pages (which is a lot of content) it's free to use but you lose some extra privileges. (Prices subject to change at the time of this writing)

If we use Weebly themselves, you get as many pages as you like for free but with those same limited options or privileges. Weebly PRO is the upgraded version and allows more privileges/options. They offer different packages stated on the "Home" page here. 

Do you build ecommerce websites?
We do build smaller ones using other software that can be integrated into your new website or a separate store with a link to go to. Weebly offers one but I found it rather complicated. 
 
Does the hosting company offer 24/7 tech support?
Weebly themselves do not. Weebly offers support during regular business hours and a few hours on weekends.  So if your website goes down or isn't working correctly in the evening, it won't be fixed until the next day or possibly that next Monday. This is not the same as editing your website. For editing your content, this can be done by you or by us anytime. At the time of this writing, Weebly sites have never gone down on me. Weebly is now owned by Square.

Do you edit websites that you did not build?
We do not unless it is created using the Weebly software. Then we can certainly edit or change it for you. Our costs are $25 an hour.

Why do you only use the Weebly drag and Drop builder?
We find Weebly is one of the easiest drag and drop software out there for people to learn how to edit their own sites. Wordpress is not an easy software to use although it is very popular. So for learning, we recommend Weebly.

Do you offer discounts to nonprofits?
Our prices listed are already lowered for small businesses and non profits with minimal budgets. We offer the lowest overall costs on the internet for building websites. We do have to make a little something for all of the work we would be doing. Most companies charge much much more and take a lot longer to build it. We work one-on-one with you constantly staying in touch with you so you know everything going on behind the scenes and when your website should be complete. Usually it is completed within a few days depending on your preferences.

Are any of the costs refundable?
No. We work with you until we have the website like you want it. So us working together, I feel we can accomplish exactly what you are looking for so we don't feel that would even be a concern. We put a lot of time and effort into what it is you are looking for.

What is a responsive website?
A responsive website is one that will work on any electronic device such as tablet, cell phone or a desktop. It conforms to the screen that it is being used on. In 2015, Google requested sites to be responsive so that they can boost rankings better. Your website will be built to be responsive. This website is responsive. 

Why is our phone number not listed on this site? 
Paw Prints Web Design does not currently offer customer support over the phone. Our team is still quite small and we have found that offering support via email enables us to provide the best support at this time.  We are committed to providing you with the best customer service, while also keeping you up to date and informed on what is happening. We do our best to make sure you have a personable experience and help with your requests or concerns. We want to make sure every detail is covered one way or another.
